No exclusion or modification of any term is permitted unless specifically granted in writing by the Hall.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>1. Responsibilities of the Hirer<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hirer shall:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure they and any appointed persons understand and comply with these Hall Conditions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Provide a clear statement of the purpose of hire when booking.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Appoint at least one competent supervisor (aged 21 or over) to oversee the event.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure a fully charged mobile phone is available for emergencies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adhere to the maximum occupancy limits for each room (see website or noticeboard).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Supervise the premises to prevent damage or unauthorised use.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Control car parking to avoid obstruction of roads and pathways.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure noise levels remain reasonable, particularly during arrival and departure.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure that any electrical equipment brought in is PAT tested and used safely.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><b>2. Use of the Premises<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hirer must ensure that:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The premises are not sub-hired or used for any purpose other than stated in the booking.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The premises are not used for unlawful activities.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No excessive noise, fireworks, illegal substances, smoking, or unauthorised animals are allowed.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No highly flammable substances or LPG gas appliances are brought onto the premises.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All users comply with safeguarding policies if children or vulnerable adults are present.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><b>3. End of Hire Responsibilities<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">At the end of the hire period, the Hirer must:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Leave the premises clean and tidy, removing all rubbish.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Return furniture and equipment to its designated storage positions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ensure all windows and doors are secured.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Turn off all lights and taps.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Lock the premises and return the key as instructed.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Failure to comply may result in retention of part or all of the deposit.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>4. Fully Licensed Bar and Social Club<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hall operates a <\/span><b>fully licensed bar and social club<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> with specific conditions for use:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The bar is managed and operated under the <\/span><b>Premises Licence<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> held by the Hall.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hirer must not bring or sell any alcohol onto the premises unless express written permission is granted.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">All alcohol sales must be through the Hall\u2019s licensed bar and served by authorised bar staff.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hirer and their guests must comply with all licensing laws, including but not limited to:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No sale or supply of alcohol to anyone under <\/span><b>18 years old<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No serving of alcohol to anyone already intoxicated.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Adherence to the Hall\u2019s licensing hours and responsible drinking policies.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The bar may be closed at the discretion of the Hall\u2019s management if the Hirer or guests fail to comply with licensing conditions.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any misuse of the bar facilities or breach of licensing laws may result in immediate termination of hire and forfeiture of deposits.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hall reserves the right to refuse service at its discretion.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><b>5. Kitchen Usage (Optional Extra)<\/b><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The kitchen area may be hired as an additional facility under the following conditions:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hirer must request use of the kitchen in advance and agree to any additional hire fees.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hirer is responsible for ensuring all food preparation and handling comply with <\/span><b>UK food hygiene regulations<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any electrical appliances or equipment brought in must be PAT tested and used safely.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The kitchen must be left clean and tidy, with all surfaces wiped, rubbish removed, and all appliances switched off.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any damage to kitchen equipment will be charged to the Hirer.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hall does not provide any catering services or cooking staff\u2014use of the kitchen is entirely at the Hirer\u2019s own risk.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><b>6. Fire Safety and Emergency Procedures<\/b><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hirer and supervisors must familiarise themselves with fire procedures (see posted notices).<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Fire exits must be kept clear at all times.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In case of fire, activate the alarm, evacuate the premises, and call emergency services.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Firefighting equipment must only be used if safe to do so.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><b>7. Insurance and Indemnity<\/b><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hall has <\/span><b>public liability insurance<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> up to \u00a32 million.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hirer must have their own insurance if:<\/span>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They are a commercial entity.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They belong to an organisation with existing cover.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They are hiring for an event with public attendance.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"2\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">They are using a bouncy castle or similar equipment.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Proof of insurance must be provided <\/span><b>at least 21 days before the event<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, or the hire agreement is void.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><b>8. Accidents and Incidents<\/b><\/h2>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any accidents involving injury must be reported immediately and recorded in the Hall\u2019s accident book.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Any damage to equipment or failure of facilities must be reported.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h2><b>9. Cancellation Policy<\/b><\/h2>\n<h3><b>By the Hirer:<\/b><\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cancellations must be notified as soon as possible.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">If a replacement booking cannot be secured, a cancellation charge may apply.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">For Saturday or all-day bookings, a minimum charge of \u00a350 or full hire fee may be applied.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h3><b>By the Hall:<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hall reserves the right to cancel a booking if:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The premises are required for elections or public emergencies.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The Hirer breaches licensing or legal obligations.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\" aria-level=\"1\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The premises become unfit for use.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In such cases, any hire fees paid will be refunded, but the Hall is not liable for any further loss.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><b>10.
